In Regards to Updates{LACK THEREOF}

The hineous and unfortunate atrosity that is the great Furburger blog{innards}/events{flesh}/fur{shop} hiatus of 2009 is not unwarranted and will not be in vain.

This little recess has not been due to lack of activity of productivity.
Quite the converse.
It is because the organizer, designer, and main contributor has been going through tumultuous times working to graduate her tuckus from school.
Hi.
My name is Christa and I am a art-the-fuck-out-acholic
...but I love every nanosecond of it.
Most of the time.

I am also suffering from a severe case of what some call 'senioritis'.
I'm just a 22 year old dame that likes to get my kicks cruisin' around in a town car with a Virginia Slim in one hand, reperator in the passenger seat, and jonesin' for my next estrogen fix.
But these are merely SIDE EFFECTS to experiencing the home stretch of completing this here degree in Visual Communications/Art History/Honors.

In the past couple of months great things have been produced but more importantly there are oddles of projects soaking in the ol' marinade(i.e. MY BRAIN).
I've also had the opportunity to grow close to some top notch folks that do some really super stuff that needs to be documented/disseminated.
About that documentation.
I wish that the entire process of this semester with my Capstone, thesis, and 16 hours hadn't been such a bumrush and I could've been able to concurrently document the process.
Ah well.
It will look better in hindsight.

After I fully realize this semester and do the deal{GRADUATE(!)} this endeavor will be revamped. To what degree I am not sure. Possibly the entire Furburger identity. Dunnos. Certainly the site.

My portfolio site www.christamay.com will be of primo priority though. I need to document/organize what I've done to see were I'm going.
Oh yeah...and move in the physical sense. NYC. Think I'm going there towards the end of the summer.
RECAP: new work, documented process, organized work, new Furburger stuff{blog entrys documenting rad ppls&happenings, shop listings(to downsize stuffs so I can move),events?}, a shiny new christamay.com, and a Christa May{college graduate...in 2 weeks}.
WATCH OUT WORLD{insert mary tyler moore inflection}

oh yeah and this is kind of...like...TODAY:

...because she's a DEDICATED FOLLOWER OF FASHION

the blog Dedicated Follower of Fashion really gets my goat.
If that phrase is misused and goat become equatable with HEART
->emoticon heart: <3 (<-which always reads as an ice cream cone to me but this is rather appropriate for the tea party you are about to witness)

Dedicated Follower of Fashion
first bleeped onto my radar when she blogged about my baculum necklaces I have in the Furburger Esty Shop back in March.
Not only does she have a keen eye for the beautiful and witty in others work she also does interesting photo projects such as the Tea Party themed original editorial photo shoot. The balloons. The unification between the fabrics. YUM.

NEXT tuesday

APRIL 14TH IN THE YEAR TWO-THOUSAND AND NINE:

Chuck Klosterman is coming to talk to us about Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs.
I just remember him talking about the social dynamics regarding the athletic team the Celtics in that book. I hate sports{'cept swimming. DIDN'T MEAN IT BABY!} and people who invest their time, emotion, and identity in them.
I most certainly do not remember any sex nor drugs and I don't give a hot quif about cocoa puffs.
Anyhoo...I'm still going to see him. Pop culture and it's influence and people does tickle my fancy I wanna see what he has to say.
See you there.

GLASSES AND FUR HATS IN THE TRENCHES

This video rang a little too true for me.
Not only am I guilty of sporting these fashion accoutrements on a regular basis, so do a few of my choice friends.
Are we all heading towards masterbatermuderraperdom? HELP!

Kevin Costner ROCKS OKC

Unbeknownst to me Kevin Costner has a band and they played Oklahoma City this evening.
I WOULD'VE HIT THAT.
+ it was at the Wormy Dog Saloon.
I can not comment on the venue due to the fact that I am not a patron...but I should've become one!

"No Really. Having a 'debate', need to know..."

What's better than receiving SERIOUS/condescending txts regarding frozen fecal dildos?
Well, obviously frozen fecal dildos (BRAVING THE ARCTIC ABYSS THAT IS THE ALASKAN PIPELINE).
"I know you know."
...um no, actually I do not.

arethHAT

When I came across this FB fan page I laughed out loud. Alone. Okay, Yoyo was here but she probably just judged me rather sharing my enthusiasim, there is a page to become a fan of Aretha Franklin's Inauguration Hat.

Okay, fair game. I already have been (with the upmost sincerity sans any trace of irony, I really like kinda shit like that see ex. 1, ex. 2, ex.3, ex.4).

What REALLY got my goose about this fan page were the poorly photoshopped pix...THEY WERE INCREDIBLE! And the quantity(1,166)!

HOLY MAN!
Here are some of the hottest gems:

DIY PLUSHY BI

DESIGN RANCH yeeeeeehaaaaaawwwww

I want to go to this. HARD.
DESIGN RANCH
Alas! I don't have anyone competent enough to take care of my 15.6667 year old feline companion, Yoyo, in my leave.
One of you go for me. I'll sit this one out and take it for the team; TEAM SHRED.

...and Yoyo uttered down from her throne, "Christa, thou shalt not gallivant to the Design Ranch! I do not possess opossible thumbs, you self-serving shrewish virago. Thyroid medications do not open themselves!"
